With this being my first blog ever, I will give some background about myself before I do anything else. My name is Mitch Sheridan and I am 18 years old. I have two little brothers and one little sister and we all live in Bountiful with my parents. I am preparing to serve an LDS mission when I turn nineteen, and am very excited about it. I attended high school at Woods Cross High School and had tons of fun there. I love college at the University of Utah and am thinking about going into either architecture or graphic design.
I have many passions in life. I love sports; I love watching, I love playing, sports are fun. I am a huge Utah Jazz fan and like I have said every year, this is their year to go all the way! I must have a thing for cheering for struggling teams because I am an avid San Diego Padres fan and cannot wait for them to win the World Series in my lifetime (hopefully).
One of my biggest passions is music. I listen to music whenever I can and have a wide range of musical tastes. I listen to artists like Johnny Cash, Rush, The Fray, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, Josh Groban, and Coldplay, just to name a few. I taught myself how to play the guitar so I can start to make my own music. Music is a powerful thing. It can make you laugh or cry and every emotion in between. That is why I have chosen to make this blog about music and how war affects it. An example of this is in the 60s and 70s when bands were making music that protested the Vietnam War. This is a subject that I am very interested in and hopefully I can learn a lot more about it through this project.
